Özlem Uzman was born in Konya in 1968. She completed her primary, secondary and high school education in Konya. In 1985, she was admitted to the Department of English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University. In 1987, she transferred to Boğaziçi University. She graduated from Boğaziçi University in 1991 with a degree in English Language and Literature. She then attended the Certificate Program in International Management at Istanbul University for one year.

Until 1997, she held managerial positions in the IT, aviation and construction sectors. Her work focused on marketing and product management. She then went to Troy State University in the United States to pursue an MBA. She returned to Türkiye after one year due to family reasons. Until 2004, she continued her career in corporate companies across various sectors. Her roles remained focused on marketing and product management.

In 2004, she founded the Bliss brand and established her own business in the women’s hosiery sector. In 2010, she expanded her entrepreneurial activities by launching the Evcilik brand in the giftware sector.

In 2013, after 26 years in Istanbul, she moved to Gökova, Muğla to establish the EGET Foundation.

She has been serving as Chair of the Board of Directors of the EGET Foundation since 2015.

She has one daughter.
