The EGET Foundation organized a lavender planting picnic in Ula Armutçuk under the slogan "Let the Flower of Lavender Support Education."

The EGET Foundation held a lavender planting picnic. As part of the project, which began in December of last year at the suggestion of Ula District Agricultural Director Süleyman Kurnaz, mother plants were brought from Isparta and propagated in a greenhouse environment for 4 months.

The lavender planting festival, which took place with a large number of participants, turned into a lively picnic after the planting was completed. Aiming to set an example for local farmers in terms of agricultural production diversity, the EGET Foundation brought the first lavender field in all coastal cities to Muğla. The EGET Foundation, which will also begin lavender honey production in 2017, continues to enrich agricultural production in Muğla.

Safai Özer, Chairman of the EGET Foundation Board of Trustees, made a statement about the significance of the day. Özer stated that the Super-A type lavender seedlings obtained from lavender planted in greenhouses are sufficient to meet the seedling needs not only of the Armutçuk Agricultural Enterprise but also of producers who want to start lavender production. With the income generated from lavender and lavender honey production, which it carries out under the slogan "Let the Flower of Lavender Support Education," the EGET Foundation aims to provide scholarships to university students who are experiencing difficulties in their education due to economic hardship, starting in the 2016-2017 academic year.
