Our Lunatic Olive Oil Producers- 18-June-2020 – Column Post

While we were separated from you, we received good news first from Japan and then from Italy.

Turkish olive oil brands made us smile once again in the international arena.
We won 9 gold and 16 silver medals at Olive Japan 2020.
(in alphabetical order) Hermus, Kisthene02, Ms. Nermin, Nova Vera, Oleamea, Purio and Zeytinel took the first place and made us all proud.
Nova Vera, which was also awarded the ‘best in the country’ award, made a difference again and won 3 of these 9 gold medals.
Alhatoğlu, Anafortis, Eget Foundation, Hermus, Kisthene02, Kristal, Nova Vera, Oleamea, Olizzi, Troy, Tuay and Zethoveen also came second, earning silver and points for our country.
While Hermus and Nova Vera stood out with 3 silver medals each, one of the things that made me the most happy was that Alhatoğlu, who has been arguing since day one that Turkey can only gain success in the foreign market with ‘specialty’ products and who showed the children’s special ‘Kidsolio’, which they started producing for Russia years ago, as an example of this, received an award with this brand.
By the way, thanks to this contest, I heard about Purio, Eget Foundation and Olizzi.
And I saved it in my notes, never to forget it again.

At EVO IOCC 2020 in Italy, our manufacturers performed even more spectacularly.
In total, 29 gold and 25 silver medals came to our country from Boots.
Adalı Efe, Ania, Bozelli, Büyükkarcı, Cumbalı, Edremit Chamber of Commerce, Genius, Gizem Yağ, Granpa, Hermus, Kisthene 0.2, Mavras, Nova Vera, Oleamea, Olidya, Özgün, Uladı, Tayga and Zivane were crowned with gold. Rengin Suar also won 3 golds in the flavored olive oils category.
Of these 29 gold coins, 5 came from Nova Vera, 3 from Hermus and 2 from Olemea.
Adalı Efe, Adatepe Zeus, AliOLive, Anafortis, Assos Athena, Çakalini, Datça Village Products, Elea Antiocheia, Fresh Future, Gizem Yağ, Hayal Bahçe, Hermus, Hilmi Yıldırım, Kisthene 0.2, Mavras, Palamidas, Rengin Suar, Savroni, Se-Ak, Sidyma, Tayga and Vievi managed to bring a total of 25 silvers to our country.
Palamidas, Se-Ak and Vievi won 2 medals each, while I met Cumbalı, Uladı, AliOLive and Assos Athena.
Nova Vera, which won this competition with each of its ‘Yamalak Sarısı’, ‘Beylik’, ‘Hayat’, ‘Memecik’ and ‘Trilye’ varieties collected from different regions of our country and processed by early harvest and cold pressing in its factory in Ayvalık, also showed us this:
All types of Turkish olives can compete in the same league with Italian and Spanish varieties when they are well cared for and processed well.
All our olive varieties can reach for the gold medal on every platform with their different flavors, aromas and chemical properties.
If we want, believe, work and produce according to the rules, success will come with it.
I sincerely congratulate all the brands that received awards in both competitions.
I believe that many more Turkish brands that will take them as role models will achieve similar success stories.
