(EGET) Foundation’s Third Lavender Harvest Festival

Özlem Uzman and Safai Özer, the founders of EGET Foundation, which organized the third lavender harvest festival, harvested lavender together with lavender-loving guests from different cities.
First lavender plantation in coastal cities
Establishing the largest and first winter truffle plantation in the country in May 2016 at the EGET Foundation’s Armutçuk Agricultural Enterprise, which was established on 22 acres of land in the Armutçuk Neighborhood of Ula, the EGET Foundation transplanted lavender seedlings of the intermedia – SuperA species among the 415 oak trees it planted, and established the first lavender plantation of the coastal cities.

Six Cosmetic Products in 2018
The Foundation obtained lavender oil by distilling the lavender flowers obtained from the lavender harvest of 2O18 at the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Medical and Aromatic Plants and Local Seed Center Facilities. The EGET Foundation sent the lavender oil to a cosmetics company in Istanbul that manufactures with the approval of the Ministry of Health, and EGET TEN, its own registered trademark, has gained a place in the cosmetics market with lavender oil tonic, lavender oil handmade solid soap, lavender oil liquid soap, lavender oil shampoo, lavender cologne and pure lavender water (hydrosol).
All of the proceeds were given as scholarships to university students
All of the proceeds from these products have been contributing to educational scholarships for university students since 2O16. In the first year, EGET Foundation granted scholarships to 40 students, and has so far welcomed 80 students.
Four New Products Added to Product Range
Özlem Uzman, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EGET Foundation and business owner, said about the Foundation’s cosmetic products: “We have recently entered the cosmetics market with six different products and have met with an intense interest. The pandemic has increased the importance of cosmetic products. We expanded our product profile by adding four new products to our product range last year. We introduced lavender oil shower gel, skin moisturizer, face wash gel and body lotion to consumers as a Turkish brand, along with other products in our new production range.
We are working in coordination with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University
As EGET Foundation, we work in coordination with Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University from planting to harvesting lavender. Our products are currently available in the domestic market through our Foundation website eget.com.tr, as well as through reliable e-commerce stores and markets selling on the internet. Marketing related to the foreign market
and our work continues. Among our targeted foreign markets are Northern European countries and America.

Instead of wedding candies, they gave lavender seedlings they received from EGET Foundation as a gift
Celil and Nurten Çobanoğlu, who came from Izmir to participate in the lavender harvest, said that in 2017, they gave lavender seedlings purchased from EGET Foundation as a gift to their guests at their wedding instead of wedding candies, and that the guests were very pleased with this.
He said that they were very happy to see the lavender growing big in pots after years.
