Black Truffle Mushroom Will Be Produced on 20 Decares of Land

ANKARA – “Black truffle”, one of the most expensive agricultural products in the world, will be grown in the Ula district of Muğla. Moreover, education scholarships will be given with the income from the business, which is a foundation investment.
Turkey’s largest private truffle investment will be grown in the EGET Foundation Armutçuk Agricultural Enterprise, which was established by the founders of the EGET Foundation, which was established this month to provide educational scholarships.

At the international level, he will cooperate with scientists who are experts in their fields and will ensure that developments within the framework of their fields of interest will be disseminated in our country.”
It was stated that the oak seedlings planted in the EGET Foundation Armutçuk Agricultural Enterprise, was transferred to soil under the supervision of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Truffle Application and Research Center Director Assoc. Dr. Aziz Türkoğlu. Along with truffle, lavender and lavender honey will be produced as by-products in EGET Foundation’s agricultural enterprise.
In the information given by the foundation, it was emphasized that it is aimed to generate an annual income of up to 600 thousand TL from only black truffles during the period when the agricultural enterprise is fully productive. It was emphasized that Turkey’s largest truffle production investment was made with the land on which saplings will be planted in a total area of 20 thousand square meters (20 decares).
Established with the donations of Özlem Uzman and Safai Özer, EGET Foundation has two separate lands near the village of Armutçuk for agricultural activities, in the Ula district of Muğla, for tourism and geriatric activities, and in the region of Elkin and Böbecen, purchased by the founders and given to the foundation.
